A new tech company in Michigan has been created by a man who used to be the chief executive officer of Compuware, though he was briefly retired before this newest venture. His new company, MadDog Technology, is located in Birmingham, and the start-up is going to be slightly different than what he has done in the past. It is also making waves in the industry because most tech start-ups are opened by young people, not retired CEOs.
MadDog Technology is going to focus on cloud computing. The aim is to provide cloud computing services to other businesses, offering them streamlined services that can help to boost revenue. The company was formed in January of 2014, so it is still very young and in the early planning and growth stages.
The connection to Compuware is clear, as some of the employees in this new company were taken directly from the old. The founder said that he handpicked his own team, choosing people he had worked with before, calling them visionaries.
However, the split from Compuare was not pleasant for the CEO, who left last year. He was critical of the way that the company was being run in his absence, and the company eliminated a contract with him as a result. He has since sued over that termination.
When it comes to new business start-up procedures and planning, it is important for anyone, regardless of their level of experience, to make sure that the new company is launched successfully and legally. When hiring from the competition, it is also necessary to make sure that all laws, such as intellectual property laws, are being followed.
